Motivational Interviewing Training for CILs

We are excited to announce our upcoming CIL Training opportunity. We will be offering training on Motivational Interviewing called a “Tour of Motivational Interviewing”. Training will be provided by Scott Kerby, LPC, who works at Truman Medical Center, in Kansas City.

The 4 hour “Tour of Motivational Interviewing” is designed to introduce learners to the core concepts of MI including the “Spirit” or approach, as well as the key tools utilized in MI.  Those in attendance will be part of an interactive learning collaboration that allows them to “try out and try on” these key principles and will set them up for future continued growth.  This works well for those with no experience with MI, or as a refresher for those with some training.

This is an introductory training in Motivational Interviewing for CILs. CILs may determine they would like to receive and coordinate additional training beyond this introductory course.

Training will be 4 hours and you will have the choice of two different days/locations.
